Anders Bergman solar energy project 2005-2009
In 2004 I did an internship at artist and architect Vito Acconci in New York. In New York I also worked for a different architect firm who are specialized in integration of renewable energy, AltPower. Both those impressions was the base for my solar energy project which also was my Master project at The Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki 2006. I refer to my website www.andersbergman.net to get more info on separate works projects. One of these projects is Solarpool, which is an art exhibition and a workshop with focus on solar energy which toured the Nordic countries in 2008. www.solarpool.fi
This is an on going investigation on time, space and communication with a focus on sound, rhythm and attitude within rock music. We are a mixture of performance act and rock band where all three members are active visual artists. Our performances are solely improvised as well as the material on our debut record which was recorded in the winter of 2009. The record was produced by the music professor and sound artist Shinji Kanki. www.silakka.fi
We have since our debut 2006 performed on some forty occasions in Finland, Sweden, Russia, Lithuania and Germany. For more info and samples see www.myspace.com/ikihevonen
